The City provides all services related to maintenance, repair, and replacement of the existing wastewater collection system infrastructure. This is accomplished with recognition that service to our customers requires 24 hours a day, 7 days a week problem-free continuous operation. If you are aware of a sewer problem, please call (509) 625-7900 to report the problem. Sewer Construction
Sewer Construction Schedule Each year the City's Engineering Services Department develops and maintains a construction schedule for the variety of public infrastructure construction projects planned. You can review the schedule, which includes sewer projects, to keep up to date on the status of new projects by clicking here. In addition, any project which may impact traffic movement throughout the City is posted on the City's Home Page. You can review those projects by clicking here. Sewer Maintenance
Rehabilitation of existing collection system infrastructure includes the use of no dig (trenchless technology) as well as direct dig and replacement options. Trenchless options (pipe lining and spot repairs) are utilized where possible to reduce maintenance costs and minimize traffic disruption. How to Report a Sewer Problem The Wastewater Management Department recognizes the value of preventative maintenance to keep sewer costs down, minimize the need for emergency repairs, and effectively maintain the wastewater system infrastructure. If you are aware of a problem, please call (509) 625-7900.
